Best Bagged Vacuum Under $400 Worth Buying in 2026

The Simplicity S20EZM is a bagged, corded upright vacuum cleaner designed for households that need serious cleaning power, especially those with pets or allergy sufferers. This bundle aims to be a complete solution, including the vacuum, a Pet Hair Beware Tool, a telescopic wand, a crevice tool, a 2-in-1 dusting brush, six replacement bags, and a HEPA filter set.

At its core, the vacuum features a 12-amp, 1440-watt motor, which the manufacturer states delivers impressive suction for carpets, rugs, and hard floors. The certified HEPA Media filter is designed to trap 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, pollen, pet dander, and other particles, making it a strong contender for improving indoor air quality. This is a key benefit for allergy sufferers, as it helps reduce the amount of airborne irritants during cleaning.

In real-world use, the adjustable height settings allow the vacuum to transition between low-pile carpets, high-pile rugs, and hard floors without needing to switch machines. The included Pet Hair Beware Tool is designed specifically for removing embedded pet hair from upholstery and floors, using a rubber squeegee and felt cylinder to grab hair effectively. The long power cord provides a good reach, reducing the need to constantly switch outlets, and the lightweight push design and ergonomic handle are intended to make maneuvering around furniture easier.

However, as a corded upright, it is limited by the length of its power cord and requires a wall outlet. The bagged design means you will need to purchase replacement bags periodically, although the bundle includes six to get you started. It is also worth noting that this product currently has no user reviews, so long-term reliability and performance are not yet verified by other owners.

Overall, this bundle is well-suited for pet owners and allergy sufferers who prioritize powerful suction and HEPA filtration. It is a good fit for larger homes with a mix of carpet and hard floors. If you prefer a cordless model or are on a tight budget, you may want to consider other options, but for a comprehensive, filter-focused cleaning system, this Simplicity bundle is a solid choice.

Certified HEPA Filtration: The HEPA Media filter captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns like dust, pollen, and pet dander, which is a significant benefit for allergy sufferers. It helps ensure that the air expelled from the vacuum is cleaner, reducing the amount of allergens re-circulated into your home.

Powerful 12-Amp Motor: With 12 amps and 1440 watts of suction, this vacuum is built to handle deep cleaning tasks. The high suction power means you can pick up embedded dirt, pet hair, and debris from carpets and rugs in a single pass, saving you time and effort.

Pet Hair Beware Tool: This specialized tool uses a rubber squeegee and patented felt cylinder to effectively lift and remove pet hair from upholstery, stairs, and car interiors. It is a practical solution for pet owners who struggle with stubborn hair that clings to fabric.

Adjustable Height Settings: The vacuum offers multiple height adjustments, allowing you to switch between low-pile carpets, high-pile rugs, and hard floors. This feature ensures optimal cleaning performance on all surfaces, making it a versatile choice for homes with mixed flooring.

Bundle Value: The package includes 6 SAH-6 replacement bags and a SF20EZM HEPA filter set, providing immediate value and ensuring you have the necessary supplies for months of cleaning. This saves you from the hassle of buying them separately later.

Long Power Cord: The extended power cord gives you greater reach, allowing you to clean large areas without constantly unplugging and re-plugging the vacuum. This is a convenience feature that enhances the overall user experience, especially for large rooms.

Homes with Pets: The Simplicity S20EZM is particularly effective for pet owners. The Pet Hair Beware Tool is designed to remove embedded hair from furniture and floors, while the HEPA filter captures dander, helping to keep the air cleaner and reducing allergy symptoms.

Allergy Sufferers: For individuals with allergies or asthma, this vacuum's certified HEPA filtration is a key feature. It traps 99.97% of airborne particles, which is beneficial for maintaining a healthier living environment, especially in bedrooms or living areas.

Mixed-Floor Households: Whether you have a mix of carpet, area rugs, and hard floors, the adjustable height settings allow you to clean each surface effectively without damaging them. This makes it a versatile tool for the entire home.

Large Homes: With a long power cord and a 4.3-liter capacity bag, this vacuum is suitable for larger homes. You can clean multiple rooms without frequent trips to the trash, and the bag indicator lets you know when it's time for a change.

Quick Daily Cleanups: Despite being a full-size upright, the lightweight design and ergonomic handle make it easy to grab for quick cleanups, such as cleaning up crumbs in the kitchen or pet hair in the living room.

The Miele Classic C1 Pure Suction is a bagged canister vacuum designed for households with mostly hard floors and low-pile carpeting, offering reliable performance without bells and whistles.

Its 1200W motor provides strong suction across six settings, effectively lifting dust from hardwood or tile while gently handling area rugs; in real-world tests on apartment floors, it picks up fine sand and debris in one pass. The universal floorhead transitions smoothly between surfaces, and the 29.5-foot radius lets you clean entire rooms seamlessly.

At around 12 pounds, it's lightweight and portable with a low center of gravity for easy maneuvering under beds or sofas. Build quality reflects German engineering, with a sturdy chassis and VarioClip for quick accessory swaps. The AirClean system ensures 99.9% filtration, improving air quality noticeably after use.

Drawbacks include the need for proprietary bags and non-washable filters, plus it's not optimized for thick carpets or heavy pet hair without upgrades. Buy this if you prioritize suction on hard floors in smaller spaces and allergy-friendly cleaning; skip it for homes with pets or deep-pile rugs needing a turbo brush.

1200W Suction with 6 Settings: Adjust power precisely for delicate hard floors or stubborn low-pile carpet dirt, ensuring efficient cleaning without scratching surfaces.

29.5-Foot Operating Radius: Reach from outlets to far corners effortlessly, cutting cleaning time in medium-sized rooms.

The Kenmore BC4039 is a pet-friendly bagged canister vacuum engineered for homes with shedding pets and mixed flooring, offering strong suction through its HEPA-sealed system.

Key features like the Hair Eliminator brushroll auto-clear pet hair tangles, keeping it ready for repeated use on carpets or rugs without scissors. The Pet PowerMate tool powers through hair on stairs, sofas, and car seats, while POP-N-GO switches to bare floors instantly for hardwood or tile. Extended reach wand hits ceiling fans and high shelves easily.

Build quality feels solid with stair grip for stability, though the canister weighs more than stick vacs, best for users who roll it rather than carry. Daily use is convenient with auto cord rewind and performance lights signaling bag status.

Limitations include bag costs over time and less agility in vast spaces versus uprights. Buy this if you have pets and need thorough, allergen-trapping cleaning; skip if you prefer bagless or ultra-lightweight options.

POP-N-GO Tool: One-touch switch from carpet to hard floors saves bending and time during multi-surface routines.

The Simplicity S26 Premium Allergy Upright Vacuum is a bagged, corded upright cleaner designed for households that prioritize air quality and effective pet hair removal. It is particularly suited for allergy sufferers because of its 4-stage HEPA filtration system, which includes a sealed compartment, a charcoal-infused HEPA bag, an electrostatic charcoal pre-filter, and a HEPA media filter. This multi-layer approach helps trap allergens like dust mites, pollen, and pet dander, while the charcoal helps neutralize odors.

In real-world use, the vacuum performs well on both carpets and hard floors. The brushroll ON/OFF control is a standout feature, letting you turn off the beater bar on hard surfaces to prevent scattering debris and protect delicate flooring. The automatic height adjustment ensures the nozzle maintains proper contact with the surface, whether you're on low-pile carpet or a smooth hardwood floor. The 30-foot cord provides ample reach, reducing the need to switch outlets frequently.

Design-wise, the vacuum is sturdy but heavy at 18.1 pounds. It may feel bulky to carry up and down stairs, but the handle and wheels are comfortable enough for typical use. The included tools, such as the crevice tool and dusting brush, attach easily and are useful for above-floor cleaning like upholstery, stairs, and vents. The large 3.75-quart bag is a plus, reducing the frequency of bag changes, and the full-bag indicator helps you know when to replace it.

However, the vacuum has some limitations. It offers only a single speed, so you cannot adjust suction power for different tasks. The weight might be a concern for those with mobility issues or smaller homes. Additionally, while the brand is well-regarded, the customer rating is moderate, so it's wise to read recent reviews to gauge any recurring issues.

Overall, the Simplicity S26 is a solid choice for pet owners and allergy sufferers who need a powerful, bagged upright with excellent filtration. It's best for medium to large homes with a mix of carpets and hard floors. If you prefer a lighter vacuum or more control over suction settings, you might consider other options. But if you value allergen containment and versatility, this vacuum is worth considering.

4-Stage HEPA + Charcoal Filtration: This system includes a sealed compartment, a charcoal-infused HEPA bag, an electrostatic charcoal pre-filter, and a HEPA media filter. It captures allergens and odors, making the air cleaner while you vacuum.

Automatic Height Adjustment: The nozzle self-adjusts to different floor types, ensuring optimal contact and suction on carpets, rugs, and hard floors without manual adjustments.

Above-Floor Cleaning Kit: Includes a wand, stretch hose, crevice tool, dusting brush, and upholstery tool. These attachments make it easy to clean stairs, furniture, vents, and other hard-to-reach areas.

The LED headlight brightens dark areas, and the bag fill indicator alerts you when it's time to change the bag. The included turbo pet tool, crevice tool, upholstery tool, and dusting brush provide comprehensive cleaning options.

However, as a corded model, it requires a nearby outlet, and the single-speed setting may not satisfy users who prefer variable suction. The bagged design also entails ongoing costs for replacement bags. With no customer reviews yet, long-term reliability remains to be seen.

Overall, the Titan T3600 is best suited for pet owners and allergy sufferers who need a lightweight, versatile vacuum with strong filtration. It's ideal for homes with a mix of carpets and hard floors. If you prefer a cordless or bagless option, you may want to consider alternatives, but for those prioritizing hygienic disposal and multi-surface versatility, this vacuum offers a compelling package.

Above-Floor Cleaning: Use the pod with the included tools to clean ceiling fans, curtains, shelves, and other elevated surfaces without a ladder.
